First off, Bill Nighy rocks. I'm a huge fan of his work. I think he did great as Davy Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and his portrayal of Viktor in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans was amazing.

I believe he's one of those actors that can seamlessly fit into any environment you give him. He's moved through the action, adventure, comedy, sci-fi and drama genres all while giving outstanding performances.

Now his latest jump has him landing a role in the upcoming, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie. Supposedly he's acquired the role of Rufus Scrimgeour, the new Minister of Magic that gets instated when Cornelius Fudge leaves the position. Although Nighy is not confirming the role he'll be playing, in a story from The Leaky Cauldron he did indeed confirm he was added to the film's cast and that his character is, as he puts it, "...a goodie".
