Showcasing the directorial debut of Drew Barrymore, Whip It is based off the Shauna Cross novel, Derby Girl. Cross, who plays this sport in real life, also penned the script that brings us the story of the small town misfit, Bliss Cavendar. Biss has gotten tired of her mother's pressure to become a beauty queen and finds a release for her frustration in joining the underground, rough and tumble woman's sport of roller derby.

This featurette, narrated by Ms. Barrymore, highlights the struggles of, "finding your inner strength, believing you can do what boys do and figuring out who you are along the way," which are key elements in Whip It. Starring Ellen Page, Juliette Lewis, Kristin Wiig, Jimmy Fallon, Zoe Bell and Barrymore herself, Whip It is set to hit theaters October 9th.
