Fox To Give Free Avatar Movie Tickets On Monday
In a very unusual promotion move, 20th Century Fox has announced that it will give away free tickets to James Cameron's Avatar on Monday. No, it's not the free tickets that are out of the ordinary. It's the advance look at 16 minutes of Avatar movie footage shown in IMAX 3D the tickets will get you in to see.
On Monday at noon PST, in honor of "Avatar Day", Fox will begin giving away tickets to it's upcoming sci-fi Avatar on the movie's website, www.avatarmovie.com, in what will probably be one of the biggest first come, first serve rush with sci-fi fans in a long time.
The tickets will be for two screenings which will take place on Friday, August 21st in 100 IMAX 3-D theaters world wide, one will begin at 6:00pm and the other at 6:30pm. The Los Angeles Times reports that both previews will include a introduction by James Cameron and footage that was not shown during the July Comic-Con in San Diego.
If you're interested in those tickets, I'd keep checking up on the movie's website for any new information as these tickets will only be available online.
Meanwhile, for anyone who didn't get a ticket, Avatar will be hitting theaters on December 18th.
