Man, this cartoon brings back memories. I loved this cartoon. This fits into my top favorite 80's cartoons of all time! Ok, I'll stop obsessing now.

These past couple of years were tough on Voltron fans because ever since we could remember there were always rumors about a full length movie. Then a couple years ago we were on the brink of getting one, Fox announced it was doing the project, announced a director and then...nothing. And our devoted hearts were broken. *cue violin*

But now, a new Voltron project has been announced and this time it look like it might actually happen. With the rights to Voltron set to expire, Atlas Entertainment has picked up the project and Charles Roven, Richard Suckle and Steve Alexander have big plans for it. Here's what THR's Risky Biz Blog had to say: "The producers behind "Get Smart" and "The International" (and Roven of course also produced "The Dark Knight) have acquired the rights to make a live-action feature based on the robot-lion property, pushing the project forward after several years in development with the Mark Gordon Company."

Wow, I'm really, really excited about this and am ecstatic that some headway is being made on this project. Although, just to be on the safe side I will say that I'm not holding my breath that this movie is going to get made. After all, I did hear that before a time or two...or five.
