Ron Howard will head up Universal Pictures latest adaptation of a Robert Ludlum novel entitled, The Parsifal Mosaic.

Ludlum is the well known author of the "Jason Bourne" series, although he wrote many other thrillers about spies and espionage and all that other stuff that makes for great drama. And yes, for those of you who started to wonder if there would be another movie when I mentioned Jason Bourne, the studio is working on it as we speak.

David Self, who wrote the screenplay for The Road To Perdition, has been chosen to pen the script for The Parsifal Mosaic. The story follows a tormented man named Michael Havelock who after thinking he witnessed the execution of the spy he loves, Jemma Karasova, tries to return to civilian life. Things seem to be going pretty smoothly, until he runs into Jemma in Europe. Enter action sequences, explosions, car chases and deception.

I've liked a lot of Howard's previous works although I am still a bit upset over that travesty of a movie, Angels & Demons. It did have beautiful sets, but holy hell did it suck. However, I think Howard's track record shows more hits than misses, so I'll be looking forward to this. What about you guys?
