Chris Columbus' newest film has him picking up the popular "Percy Jackson And The Olympians" 5 book series. This first film, Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief will be released on President's day of 2010, and should it perform well will be the studio's newest franchise.

The story, which isn't too unfamiliar for Columbus who previously directed Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets, is based on a boy who discovers he's son to the God of the Sea, Poseidon. He's then sent off to Mount Olympus where he must try to rescue his mother and find the stolen lighting bolt of Zeus.

Personally I really liked this teaser, and the cast for this movie sounds great: Sean Bean is Zeus, Uma Thurman is Medusa, Rosario Dawson is Persephone, Peirce Brosnan is Chiron and Kevin McKidd is Poseidon.
