New Predators Cast To Include Adrian Brody and Topher Grace
Yes, you read that headline right. Adrian Brody, who is best known for his Oscar-winning performance in The Pianist, has signed with 20th Century Fox to star in the new Predators revamp. Brody will play a mercenary who is trying to keep the other humans alive.
But that's not all that has been discussed about the cast. According to THR's Heat Vision, Topher Grace is also in talks to star in the movie. Grace and Brody would play alongside Walt Goggins, (The Shield) Alice Braga, (I Am Legend) and Mahershalalhashbaz Ali (The 4400). Danny Trejo and UFC fighter Oleg Taktarov have previously been cast. Trejo will be a hardened warrior who sports duel Uzis strapped to his back, Taktarov is an ex Russian special ops agent, Braga will be a hardened female killer, Ali is a man who is fearless in the face of death, while Goggins will be the loose cannon of the bunch.
Brody seems to be the man who has inherited Arnold Schwarzenegger's part as the leader of the humans while Grace will be an accountant-type whose unassuming facade hides a dangerous serial killer.
This Nimrod Antal directed film will follow the humans as they are abducted and taken back to the Predator's home planet and are hunted by the merciless aliens. Shooting will begin in Hawaii next month then head over to the script co-writer and producer Robert Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios in Austin. Predators is set for a July 9th, 2010 release date.
