When Jamie Foxx had signed on to do a Ray Charles biopic, he was mostly thought of as a comedian who had gotten a few roles here and there. Ray changed that image. Now, it seems that Foxx is returning to the biopic genre as he's just agreed to take on the role of Mike Tyson.

According to Moviefone, Foxx has told the world he's putting together a film crew that would reunite him with Ray director, Taylor Hackford. When speaking about the life of the ex-Heavyweight champion here's what Foxx had to say: "I've been privy to some of the private things that I just think are so amazing," Foxx said. "Here's this guy that could do no wrong, and everything he did, we loved it. And then, when he wasn't the heavyweight champion, anything he did was considered foul and just horrible."

Personally I have no qualms about Foxx playing Tyson, there are a select few comedians who can do serious drama well and I think Foxx has done a good job in that area so far. Having said that, my biggest question regarding this film is, do we really need, or want, a movie about Tyson? What do you think?
