Justin Lin To Re-Imagine Highlander

Yeah, I know what you're thinking. The guy who directed such great classics as Annapolis and The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift is going to take on remaking Highlander??

I know. I felt much of the same disappointment, until I remembered one small glimmer of hope with regards to Lin's directing resume. Long before any drifting was done in Tokyo, Lin first directed a small indie crime drama, Better Luck Tomorrow. The film was and still is considered to be a really good film, and back in 2002 when it was first released it was thought to be a glimmer of promise with regards to Lin's directing potential.

That is, until he took on the previously mentioned generic masterpieces. After those films, his potential and unfortunately the movie that hinted at so much talent was forgotten. Through all the disappointment and eyebrows that are being raised when people hear about Lin taking on Highlander, many have remembered Better Luck Tomorrow. Which just might hint at how good the film was. I don't want to hype it up too much, it's not an epic film, but it will let you know Lin can do much more than what he is popularly known for.

I actually put it in my netflix queue to see it again, I'd actually recommend doing the same if you haven't seen the movie. Try it out, and let me know what you think.
