I'm not one who usually shows a promo for a trailer, it's almost like showing a movie trailer for a movie trailer, which is pretty weird.

However, with The Lovely Bones I'm making an exception for two reasons: Peter Jackson is directing the film and because when I read this book, I thought it told a brilliant story so I'm really excited for the movie. The actual trailer for this movie is coming out later this week, so I'll feature that also when it does.

The Lovely Bones, written by Alice Sebold, tells the story of a young girl named Susie Salmon who is raped and brutally murdered. As Susie looks on from heaven, she must learn to come to terms with her own death as her family must learn to move on and live their lives without her.

Starring Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon, and Stanley Tucci, the movie's release date is December 11th 2009.

A word of warning though, this promo comes from ET whose hosts love to talk over everything...even movie trailers.
