For his next next project, an independent film called Buried, Ryan Reynolds plays a civilian contractor who is kidnapped in Iraq. He wakes up to find himself buried in a coffin in the middle of the desert, his only weapons being a cell phone, a candle, and a knife. Buried is currently shooting in Barcelona, with Rodrigo Cortes directing a script by Chris Sparling.

An interesting thing of note about this movie is it's cast, more specifically the lack thereof. Supposedly it's Ryan Reynolds and...Ryan Reynolds. The whole film. We did mention it was an independent film right?

A while back, Reynolds talked a bit about his feelings regarding being a one person show. "It’s the only movie I’ve ever heard of with only one person in it. So it’s just me, I’m the only person in the whole movie so, I don’t know. We’ll see. It’s either going to be, you know, the greatest, most experimental cool movie ever made or god knows what,”
