From the writer who introduced you to Juno, Diablo Cody now brings you, Jennifer's Body. Directed by Karyn Kusama, this picture stars Megan Fox. And yes, this is the film that caused much of the male population to say, "Thank you!" when pictures of Fox in that infamous cheer leading outfit were released.

The outline of the film seems simple enough. Fox plays Jennifer Check, a high school student who becomes possessed by a flesh-eating demon after seeing a satanic rock band. Now her best friend, played by Amanda Seyfried, must do everything she can to save her best friend and her town.




An interesting thing to note is that this isn't the "official" trailer Fox Studios had introduced. Originally the studio had introduced a trailer that was shown pre-Bruno and was marketed as a straight horror film. This non-official trailer is brought to you by director Karyn Kusama, writer Diablo Cody and producer Jason Reitman who wanted the audience to see more of the humor and "fun" they had interjected in the movie. Shocktilyoudrop had this to say from them:
“Fox is putting a trailer of Jennifer’s Body in front of Bruno this Friday. Great right? Only problem is it’s not our trailer. It’s kind of a straight horror preview and while we’re sure it’ll appeal to many of you, we wanted to make sure you guys got to see our cut… Lets call it the ‘filmmaker’s cut’. We think it captures the comedy and scares of the horror films we grew up on – a kind of nostalgia for when horror films were fun. Can’t wait to show you the whole film… In the meantime, here’s the red band trailer we wanted our fans to see.”

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of horror movies so I appreciated the filmmakers version more. What did you guys think?
