Dorian Gray is an intriguing movie for me because I hear so much about the book, which sadly I have never read. It's sitting somewhere in my "to be read" pile, which for some reason only keeps getting taller.

The novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde is really an interesting tale about Dorian Gray, a handsome young man who sells his soul in order to retain eternal youth, but whose true age and hideousness are revealed in a painting. Enthralled by a hedonistic lifestyle introduced to him by Lord Henry Wotton, each sin he commits reveals a disfigurement or sign of aging in the painting.

Directed by Oliver Parker and starring Ben Barnes and Colin Firth, this movie's release date is September 9th 2009.
