So I'm not a huge follower of the Anime genre, but man, I was actually surprised that I haven't heard more about this film before yesterday. I saw the trailer for this movie and it looks awesome!!

(It's an International Trailer though so the release date at the end is for the UK not the US)


It's already been out in Japan, but it's scheduled for a limited release in the U.S. on Friday, July 10th. This live action version, directed by Chris Nahon, is a remake of the Anime cartoon directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo which premiered in theaters in Japan on November 18, 2000.

A quick synopsis is: Saya, a half-human, half-vampire samurai who hunts vampires, ventures to an American military base, where she encounters Onigen, evil matriarch of all vampires and the demon who killed her father.

I'm really interested in seeing how this movie turns out, so far it looks incredible.
