A new trailer has just been released by Entertainment Tonight for the new film, Brothers. The Jim Sheridan film, scheduled to open in theaters December 4, stars Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sam Shepard, Mare Winningham and Bailee Madison.



The plot goes like this:

"'Brothers' stars Tobey and Jake as siblings Sam and Tommy, two polar opposites: Sam is a steadfast marine and family man about to embark on his fourth tour of duty. Tommy is a drifter just out of jail who gets by on his charm and wit.

When Sam's chopper is shot down in the mountains of Afghanistan and he's believed to be dead, Tommy turns over a new leaf by taking responsibility for Sam's wife, Grace (Portman), and children -- leading to an unexpected attraction. Later, Sam returns home after being captured and tortured by Taliban fighters, shifting the family dynamic into super uncomfortable territory..."

In reading a few blogs about this movie it seems that a lot of people are watching Maguire on this one. They're interested in seeing how he pulls off this darkly intense role, something they haven't seen from him in a while. What do you guys think?
