This is still very much unconfirmed but Ain't It Cool is reporting that Justin Timberlake was seen suiting up and doing some screen testing for the role of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern. This doesn't mean he's gotten the part but they did say that's he's in "serious contention" for the role.

Wow...just....wow.

The funny thing is that some people have actually said that he's capable of taking on this role and that his past roles have been really solid. Really? Which roles would that be? And if you even begin to say, Alpha Dog I'm going to laugh. Not smile, not chuckle. Laugh. I even found his performance in Shrek 3 to be horrible, and he wasn't even there, it was only his voice.

Now nobody is denying that he's a great singer or great entertainer, I personally think he's great at both, but taking on a starring role in a major production movie is very different than doing guest appearances on SNL.
