For his next work Ryan Reynolds will be shooting an indie film, Buried. According to Variety, Reynolds will play a civilian contractor who is kidnapped in Iraq. He wakes up to find himself buried in a coffin in the middle of the desert, his only weapons being a cell phone, a candle, and a knife.

This intro sounds interesting, a bit claustrophobic, but interesting. Just kidding...kinda. Seriously though, I'm not but I do admit to squirming a bit while watching some parts of The Decent or when Michael Madsen buries Uma Thurman in Kill Bill 2. So props to Reynolds who, from the sounds of it, will be spending quite a bit of time filming in a very claustrophobic space.

Buried is set to being in a few months in Barcelona with Rodrigo Cortes directing a script by Chris Sparling.
